  1. can you buy the master cylinder push rod....thing....the one that goes into the cylinder and connects to the brake pedal link

..........mine is rather corroded and I havent spotted it for sale on the usual websites......do they come with new master cylinders? or rebuild kits?

or will I have to clean mine up and reuse?

    thanks :)

  2. Get a firm grip on your rod in a workmate and give it a good doing with a wire brush in a cordless drill. They come up lovely :)

  3. I'll shot blast it at work if you cant buy new ones ;D......provided I havent chucked it out or bent in out of shape ::)

  5. thanks bro

I did think about fitting a servo .....but for now will stick with the standard one I have - I'm used to non servo brakes on my MG!

looks like I'll have to dig the old rod out (ooh er Mrs!)

  9. thanks guys :)

....and thanks for the offer Zed :)

I had a look in the tool box it was kicking around in and which I kept shutting the lid onto it ::) ;D ..........but its not there :(

even though it was rusty, I doubt I would have thrown it out. I tend to keep just about every thing no matter how damaged, corroded or beyond repair it is ;D ....I do hoard rusty bolts I have no intention of fitting again .......but some times these things come in useful as reference if nothing else

I'm sure it must be in a box or bag with the other rusty bits I'm not going to use...I'll have another rummage for it at the weekend

If I cant find it will pm you zed :)
