I had a customer in a £33K late bay recently, the engine was kaput and the cab doors wouldn't shut. He'd had it for just 6 months. Compared to that it's a bargain.
Id buy a patch of woodland if i had 30k I must be weired though as id rather buy a wreck and spend 30k on tools and equipment to fix it to how it once was Than buy a mint one at 30k and now nothing about its make up and engineering
the price is relative really. i wouldn't and couldn't afford 30k on a bus. but if money meant nothing to me i.e i had so much i never needed to understand the value of material stuff then yes i'd buy it just because i could. however having a bus that i can afford and needs constant tinkering gives me happiness but i also understand that if i spend £40 on it that's £40 less to spend elsewhere. would it be nice to have an endless pit of money? sometimes i think it would but in reality no
I had the pleasure of delivering this bus by transporter to its new owner near Frankfurt. The new owner is a solicitor/lawyer who loves all things classic VW and seems to be a nice guy. I have to say that it wasn't in perfect condition despite being stored for so long, a few scratches here and there (perhaps stored under an abrasive dust sheet), but still great to look at.
This is a very nice bus , I would pay £100.000 if I had it. I serviced this van when Martin had it , well worth it !!!!! 
