This morning as I was walking from the station to work I saw a bus hit a parked vehicle and promptly drive off. I managed to get a photo of the bus's number plate and then when the parked vehicles owner come out I told him I saw the bus hit his van. The bus then pulled up down the road and the man ran down to speak to the driver - the driver was denying hitting the van. So I stepped on board and said I has seen it happen and would happily act as a witness Hopefully this will mean the man can claim on his insurance company and make the bus company pay out. I had a similar thing happen about 5 years ago when a bus hit my car and eventually my insurance company took the bus company to court to get the money out of them. I am pleased to say that the bus company had to pay out to cover the costs of the works and £2k in legal fees. Anyway - I am glad I was on hand to witness this and help the van man ... B&H Buses are a law unto themselves and always nice when the little man wins :tophat:
Well done Dan I've had a truck side swipe me in traffic (at least it wasn't in the bay) & how long it takes to get them to admit they were in the wrong.
