The good ship tlb ( or is it the Marie Celeste ) Well i have been thinking about this and the only analogy i can come up with is the “ Marie Celeste “ , We used to have a skipper at the helm and a coxswain backing him up , a first mate , a bosun , chief engineer a cook and a purser , but they seem to have evaporated like the crew of the ghostly boat . The passengers are here but we seem to be becalmed , we sit in our cabins waiting for the wind to blow maybe a storm to brew a north easterly perhaps and secretly hoping for the crew to return with their bountiful chests and treasures ? . Without a skipper at the helm we are in grave danger of running aground , mind you i can’t see land from here so we should be all right for a while . The question is – what has happened to the crew , the purser , the cooks , the Boatswain ? we need the skipper back to sail the good ship tlb to a pleasant harbour , a safe anchorage from where we can set a course for the yonder horizon . C’mon Cap’n Jack , show us yer vast behind !. Just a thought -- i'll go back below decks now
someone started a mutiny and this caused a few of the officers to jump ship, it's amazing what you can do in the real world.
