As Majors refuebishment continues, we tackled the front steering components today, only managed to get the RH side sorted until the daylight went but it went well!! Old front discs Torsion arms stripped off Everything stripped ready for the new arms, thanks to BigRich @ Coolair new steering damper and track arm (RH first) Painted up ready to be finished off Job done gotta sort the left hand side out next, better talk to my boss at work nicely on monday!!
next job is a few blisters of paint, sort the rest of the cab mats out and touch some of the paint up on the cab floor and storage pockets under the seats!!
there thats the left hand side done too - all bolted up & ready to go to Absolute VW for the tracking!
Gave Major a good wash & a bit of a run over with some t-cut to brighten him up again got a fifth Gasburner for the spare wheel but the offset didn't suite the wheel holder - we had a nice billet of 7050 series Aluminium Alloy sat doing nothing so we machined a spacer up one wheel fitted Pilwocket helped too finally fitted a 52mm rev clock
