  3. I guess buses are easy-ish to pick up cheap in Australia, hence folk importing them to here so people don't try as hard to save them over there?

    Anyway, what do you reckon it did for family relations lovingly restoring a bus for your son and he does that to it only 4 months later?

    In Australia they either class it as a "Repairable Write Off" or "Irrepairable Write Off", if it's the latter then it can only be broken for parts. Harsh but that's the way it is. If you work hard enough on the insurance assessor you can usually get it put into the first classification, but some of them just won't budge. :( I know this from personal experience when trying to get my Healy 100/6 classed as a repairable write off, the mongrel wouldn't budge & it was parted out. :'(
     
  9. but what is it to them? I don't see why they should care what you do with your wreck, there's no profit for them if you don't, nor loss if you do. Seems like pointless rules to me.
