Hi the vw i purchased as a lpg conversion the switch is on the dash lpg then r the fuel switch should i start with petrol or the lpg when purchased i was told switch ignition and press the button with two jets of compressed gas. I have noticed though this floods he engine i have now started to just switch ignition without squirting but hitting the revs after 3 -4 seconds the watercooled 18 gti engine fires up. I guess my question is should i start on petrol or lpg the later appears the easiest. But i think maybe a good service would help ? Thaks for reading
The usual tactic is to start on petrol then switch to LPG when up to temp. You need the engine heat so the LPG can evaporate and vapourise correctly.
Yes switch over to petrol when driving.it may be automatic and do it for you. Just have a play and see what happens
