They still exist. Used to be a bit easier to source. Haven't tried Schofield's tbh but you've got the part number now:thumbsup:
    That's Serial Kombi en France...

Not sure where you're based as there's no location on your profile and no intro thread I can find, but if you are UK then Schofield also sells the seals for the windows separately. They are held in with just a few self tappers and it's probably easier to take them out and work on them on the bench:thumbsup:

  5. I'm in UK.cheers.My original ones have Ali rivets,if I drill them out and put a tap through is that ok?
    Can use machine screws then.

Don't see why not. I've got ours to do as a couple of the hinge out brackets are broken.
It'll give me a chance to replace all the seals on the glass as well.
@davidoft usually has a few choice parts squirrelled away that he'll part with for folding money if you need anything. Possibly even a window gearbox or 2 although as I said these bits are scarce now.

Ive deleted the other thread to keep things tidy and information central to one thread.

If you are struggling to get a new part, sometimes FBI VW have them or Megabug or even Parts Emporium.

I’m sure I found a UK or European supplier a few years ago but I can’t find them now. Westfalia of course bought in the gearbox and simply attached it to the window so we just need to find a supplier of the HEHR gearboxes that doesn’t have the VW, and especially Westfalia, price tag. The HEHR part numbers are 008-191 (left hand) and 008-192 (right hand).

So are those Swisco ones the correct size?
The discount for 10 of each plus the quoted FedEx carriage means they'd probably be landed here for about 20 quid each, maybe a little less

I’m not 100% sure the Swisco ones are correct Neil, but I expect they are, it’s just a standard window gearbox. The HEHR 008-191/2 are definitely correct.
