How long has this got to be in my garage for before I can claim rightful ownership?
However long, it'll probably be before I see my fcuking van again!

    Patience is a virtue...

  4. Ever done a rear cross member without taking the body off? That's the worst I've seen but tbh I didn't really look that hard! I don't really want to split body and pan yet.

  5. I'll give you a lift up to collect yours in the beetle...thinking about it you could get a lift off Gareth in his ghia........

  6. No, not done much beetle welding myself. I don't like beetles.

    Yours has a roof

To be fair I expected worse:
I thought you were going to say Anna would drive me in the bug....
    Possibly more realistic.

  8. How bad was the one at the workshop?

  9. Don't be silly... They're only doing the steering...

  10. Haven't had time to take a proper look yet. Its been sat a while.

    oops!

  15. Does that mean the old parts are gone or they haven't touched it yet?

I've not been up but I understand its not touched.
BayDreams van is pretty much ready, and allegedly all the bits for mine will be there this week.
Forgive me for having approximately zero confidence.

I could just pick it up and chalk it up to experience.
Thats not in my nature though.
Id be far too *******ed at not having the bus or new steering to show for the 5 months....

In for a penny, in for a pound? The over-riding logic of a bus owner in every aspect! :)

Never say you're in no particular hurry, because on every job there are snags and so workshops are always behind with something, or often lots of things! Sometimes he who shouts loudest gets sorted first because otherwise the quickest/most straightforward jobs will get done first to avoid disappointing the greatest number of people in the least time (and to pay the bills as yours is R&D).

  19. Folk keep telling me this
    It doesent help you know:(

  20. Had the door cards and seat covers made up a long time ago but never got round to fitting them.

It's now time. Well in a few days maybe, hopefully
