Just had some marmite news, my best mate a VW man years ago and through n through ,has just told me when i phoned him tonight that his last treatment of tablets /chemo hasnt worked :'( hes been fighting the big C now for over 3 years, this was his last chance. Blown me away , he is just one of the nicest blokes you,d ever meet, makes no fuss ,still joking, we always joke, one liners that make me cry sometimes. Sorry ta be down on here but he loved his splittys n bays he had. I always take him out when i go down ta see him and we go ta speedway together. Its gona be a tough few weeks?? months but i know he wont give up easy. So just remember everyone enjoy your times with your friends while you can, we none know whats around the corner :'(
Feel for you Rubble. Things like this remind us all that life isn't a dress rehearsal. Hard for you, your mate and his family I guess. If I were him, I'd feel blessed to have a friend like you who cared as much. Thoughts are with you mate xx

sorry to hear this, both for you and your friend. get him over to the speedway and laugh a LOT. as crap as it is he'll need some normality around him and that's what friends are for x x
K+ everyone thanks for the kind words ,i went to bed with a tear but i know we will laugh and joke to the end , sometimes its just difficult to find the right words or to imagine what it will be like without someone like that. Cheers Barney
