Another expensive day courtesy of my bus in bits. I bought one of those very rare Delux clocks (for the third pod on the dashboard). Came out of a '76 (I think) Westy. It's in mint condition and I paid £125. A lot I know, but cheap in fact for such a thing. I've seen some sold for more than £175. Also bought an MPH speedo for £25 to replace the Ozzie KPH. Bought a VDO rev counter and water temp gauge too - in anticipation of fitting the Subaru lump.
I was bidding on those cards DuBious , I wasn't online near the end of the auction though so missed out to to
Got my copy of the VW restoration manual from Amazon, what a great book! Does anyone know if Schoefields still do the cab door inner lower repair panels anymore?
Just bought The Snowman to read on holiday next week, Amazon Kindle download to my iPad for three quid odd, about all I can afford at the mo.
i bought a new clutch today, mine was fine but as the engine and gearbox are out of the bus I thought better to replace it. I'm bored and I need my bus back on the road.....its been 3 loong weeks
Ordered a complete rear L/H corner and outrigger/JP kit from JK, got too many repairs to do on what's left so I thought I would chop the lot off and put fresh metal in, also a rear bumper complete with mounts from Ebay which I hope to collect Sat. Does anyone know where I can get the little bowl that fits over the end of the steering column?
