Just seen this pop up on ebay, in serious need of attention. Might be ok for the engine? (edit, no engine included) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110825663353&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:GB:1123
Looks like it's got an exhaust and a fanbelt pulley. Wonder what they're attached to. A gold mine for some unsuspecting new entrant into the wonderful world of VW campers.
No Worse than some of the ones on the road I lke the fact that it say's "it requires lots of welding in usual places including all outriggers/jacking points" Like they could have been good. : Good starter project though.
this is a disaster, but if I was to slap 10 kilos of filler on and put some shiny paint on, suddenly it would be a bargain. at least its stripped of paint, and you can see whats rotten... and it doesn't look any worse than every other non californian, unrestored bus once you start stripping it.
After sorting our bug out in what I thought was nearly finished project that actually took another 7 months. I would say that van is a lot of work.
I take it all back http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Volkswagen-Split-Screen-Camper-Van-Basket-Case-/250994313857?_trksid=p4340.m1374&_trkparms=algo%3DPI.WATCH%26its%3DC%252BS%26itu%3DUCC%26otn%3D5%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D6439132663430623930
Seen someone else has spotted it in another thread. I'm sure it just needs a couple of panels and a lick of paint.
