Latebay Engine lid for Sale

Hi All , i have a nos engine lid for sale . Its the later one and its in perfect condtion . Was cleaned of transport black , etch primed and sprayed white . Looking for £65.00 posted , please pm for pics or if interested , cheers Mick

Hi John , got the lid out of the loft and its not the one i thought i had up there ! Its another one in orange that i bought as a spare ? . Still original quality and great condition if your interested ?

When you say later is that later with hinges or later with pins? if its hinges stick me down for 3rd dibs

 

that's a pre 76 one you need with proper hinges i think - later ones look like this

 

Wonder why mine has that one then.

Its got a new rubber seal and as you can see it wont shut properly, lock clicks but it sticks out, not flush??????

 

new seals are crap unless you get a good - not cheap one, you can convert to different engine lid with adapter - guess yours has been done?

edit yours is right if that's your van - proper hinge - not wire crap like mine!

 

The catch is adjustable - move it in a bit.
I've found the rounded profile seals can get caught/pinched along the top and generally go hard and tear. The square profile ones are much better and I always buy those.
