Laptops - new one needed, what do you suggest ?

Recently got a MacBook Air mate and love it! If you get one, get the top spec i7 one as mine is super quick!

How about these " all in one " media centre pc's ? dell vostro one seems ok, tv tuner, freeview tv, i7 quad core with 2tb HD and 6gb ram for only £550 with 3 year warranty / on site repair from dell.... I could then buy a Cisco 2tb media centre back up drive linked to the tv (it auto backs up mall media) and that's only going to cost £650 vs £2700 for the iMac (unless I get a 2nd hand one) but second hand is not latest spec and still around the £1500 -£1800 mark, just not sure I can really justify the spend on a machine I don't use for gaming now.

 

Ps I have spent the morning stripping down my xps to try and "cook" the gpu from what I have read they say 200 degrees for 10 mins, anyone done this successfully ? I have it in pieces with screen off and the gpu is now out and the chip is cleaned up ready, but I am a little apprehensive about popping into the oven lol
