I am posting this on behalf a guy I know. I have not seen it in the flesh. He is based in the Colchester area. Land Rover Series I - 1957 - 88” This vehicle was first registered on 1st August 1957. It has been restored and maintained to excellent A1 condition. It retains its original chassis, bodywork, wheels and engine (2 litres). It has its original Solex carburettor, which has been refurbished and rebuilt. The dashboard is original as are the instruments, including the speedometer, oil/water gauge and original mileage from new of 101,400 miles. At the rear of the vehicle; it has its original “pork pie” rear/stop lamps. Parts such as leaf springs were replaced in the 2007 refurbishment. The hood and seats were fitted in the last 5 years and are in excellent condition. Documents include the original brown log book, old MoTs and tax discs. There is a full set of MoTs from 2007 to date. The vehicle is offered with a number of extras including an additional wheel, an additional Solex carburettor, oils, filters, gaskets, period/vintage tool kit, a period brass fire extinguisher, a trolley jack (unused) and axle supports Inspection is welcomed & encouraged.
