OMG, just replacing a strip of this as was battered at the floor end. I thought it would come off fairly easily with a sharp spatula underneath. The wrecked bit came off easily but the rest is 100% bonded. Tried heat. Tried spatula but just splinters off in tiny shards.

Germans did a better job than BC52DB28-564D-45AC-B71A-BE79898B7938.jpeg UK 1970s laminate furniture!

Any ideas, or should I just sand down and stick on top?

(Picture shows before I started any work)

    Cheers

You need to get it quite hot, put an iron on it with a towel, leave it 5 mins

  4. Have you tried copious amounts of white spirit?

  5. By a cheap oil painting kit and mix up some matching colour and just touch the bits up, will look the nuts with sun glasses on!
