  1. Would like to get a mean looking knife to go camping with, but something that is practical too. Possibly something to butcher meat and saw through wood if needed. Any recommendations?

  2. Gransfor bruks small forest axe

    Bacho laplander folding saw

    frosts mora bushcraft knife

Thats what i use and will cover nearly all the tasks youll likely need

  3. Get a pocket chainsaw was going to be my reply, thoughts of a mini chainsaw sprang to mind. I Googled it and there is a pocket chainsaw out there but not a petrol one.

  4. too quick Para. Iwas just about to say this one is for you. ;)

  8. what you want is one of these. It has a survival kit packed into the handle, so if you fall out of any helicopters you can sew yourself back up.

I wouldn't try to elude a police manhunt with anything less than this.
    :)

When we used these years ago, the Buckmaster was the kiddie.

  13. can't beat a good Rambo knife. There is not a bushman craft which can't be performed with one, carving your name on trees, cutting heads off worms, split knackers etc - its a great knife which can help you if you get lost too. The one I had even had a nail file in it

Very good, stays sharp and is easy to handle i use it for a bit of carving and cutting then a folding saw for cutting bigger stuff.

I also have a one of these to try

  18. Right ive given this a bit of thought now and if you really must have a manly looking knife

Id reccomend the MOD survival knife

    http://www.survivalaids.com/order1.php?pg=720

Its a chunky cumbersome knife for small tasks but will do them to an acceptable standard
There built tough and strong and are excelent at battoning log rounds into knidling
