I just got a sliding door side sill and as they had no genuine ones I got a klokeholmee one, I have to say it was excellent, came zinc plated correct thickness and fitted like a glove. Maybe they have stepped up their game on some of their panels

  4. Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo not the arches! They're a crap fit but needs must. It's what I'm struggling with myself.

I'd rather make front arches out of paper mâché. They really are the worst things I've seen for a bus. Don't expect them to last either. They are also the wrong shape. Our paint shop won't fit them.

  7. Thought i'd read on here they were poor fit but genuine ones are £250ea so needs must!

If you look on jk or heritage they sell the inner and outer arches genuine for around £160 you have to weld them together yourself but its not much welding

  9. Good luck with these Carl. Please keep us up to date with how you get on... the front arches are on my 'things to do' list too and, frankly, I'm not looking forward to it!

if you are any good with a welder look at cutting out the rot and replacing it , it may be do able and will keep the shape , i replaced too many complete panels before realising this , i accept is isn't always possible and people struggle but welding however some of the better patching i have seen on here made for a more satisfactory repair

Please don't fit those ghastly hash up jobs!!!!! You will regret it from the moment you buy them to the moment you sell the bus.

The originals are £250 each for a reason: superb quality, solid steel and fit beautifully.

Failing that do consider patching them up. Our bodyshop repaired a set of arches because the rest were just too good to chop out.

I fitted full steps/ arches needed a bit of tweaking but doable, Schofields gave them to me £75 each or £250 for proper ones!! ImageUploadedByTapatalk1369429354.158495.jpg
