  1. Wife's leon developed a rattle from the cat, bugger I thought , getting quotes of 3-400 for new cat . Bought new one from GSF for £99. Easy fit I thought ......wrong you have to cut the old one out as the flange is too big to come out the tunnel..... Fitted it and it whistled and drove like a bag of poo , ... Next was a new lambda sensor ....still drove rubbish ..cursing GSF rubbish . Took it to a garage near work who subjected broken bits of the cat had worked its way down blocking the middle muffler ... As it the original exhaust the rear bit is in one piece and you can't remove it , so I thought I'd cut it and just rejoin it . Tried to buy a joiny bit from exhaust place and they said its impossible and I need to buy middle and rear back box @ £400 ..well I cut it and out came half the cat which was restricting the exhaust , £9 clamp from GSF and she drives like a beaut again .

  5. Hi Steve,

Yea - life's a bitch aint it!! Just too many cowboys around trying to make a quick buck and not interested in the cars or customers!!

Just wondered how you got on doing your Audi headlights - what did you use in the end, and whether you've made any progress with the turbo on your Bay?? I've got a Golf now and similar prob with the headlights!

    Cheers,

    John

  6. If the headlight problem is cloudy plastic lenses then mopping them with g3 compound sorts them out
I had to do mine for the mot last year

  7. John , have sorted drive to supercharger , have supercharger and hopefully have turbo dells sorted , just need to work out how it's all going to fit as trying to get intercooler to fit and work as well ,

Ref the lights I 1200 wet and dryed them then autosol and then the plastic polish , came out ok but not great

  8. Good show! Do let me know when turbo up and running - would be interested to hear your thoughts at that stage.
    Cheers
