Khyam motor dome

Just wondering if anyone has a Khyam motor dome? how good are they, how well do they attach to the van and how well do they work as a drive away?

i can’t remember if mines the motor dome or the next one up but i love it ten mins and it s up and something like i then just walk round with vodka and coke on the go sticking the odd peg in theres about 3 ways i used the plastic thing that comes with it to hold it to the van nice en easy
but i know adam (Joycee72) don’t like his

great awning, goes up really quick, I just find it takes a while to peg down properly. But I will try the vodka method at spring camp to see if it quickens the process.

Khyam awnings look pretty good. My mate has an Outwell tent which is excellent, fairly quick to put up and has withstood a gale without leaking or blowing away!. Anyone tried their awnings?

 

Each to their own. I have a Motordome sleepr which is great if your camped up for more than a few days but tbh I prefer my Traveller traditional awning. Takes me less time to put up cos Ive been doing it years. But its the taking down bit I detest with the Khyam. Also flymsi and fiddley imho. Both have their merits but Im no fan of tunnel awnings.

Anyone done a one touch awning yet? thats gott to be the best compromise of all. We have a samll pop up tent and you literally take it out of the bag - chuck it on the floor and whack a few pegs in. I want an awning like that!!

 

We'll be putting ours up for the first time at Spring Camp so will have to remember the vodka
