Kermit's heart (engine) to be removed over the weekend and then all being well will be shipped to laurie Petitt to be worked and breathed on after becoming sick last weekend. Hopefully wont be out of action to long, had to cancell a show and a holiday already but it will be worth it to get Kermit running healthy again. Fingers crossed for a successful operation.
Kermit's heart has now been removed and all ancillaries taken off, soon to be palleted up then off to Laurie in the next week or so. Kermit's heart is going on steroids and being increased in size to 1776 to make hauling his body round a bit easier especially when his trailer is in tow. All going well the operation should see Kermit back on the road within a month, fingers crossed as miss going out in him.
Latest update, Kermits heart finally left for Scotland this afternoon to visit Laurie, the vw engine wizzard. My what a struggle trying to get 1776 barrels and pistons, out of stock everywhere, then my luck changed and managed to get the last set of Mahle that VW Heritage had and a nice 10% discount aswell RESULT. Now I just have to wait for surgery to take place and on its return to try and remember how to put it back into Kermit. Then when running nicely it will be off to the MOT station and hopefully get the all clear just in time for our hols.
Kermit's new Vintage Speed exhaust arrived today courtesy of Vintagedan off the Earlybay forum, he did me a cracking deal, just waiting for the engine to return now. Will post pics when its all back together.
