Anyone thinking of doing this one it's in the idyllic grounds of Quex Park in Birchington-on-Sea in Kent https://www.facebook.com/events/1807268899491975/ http://www.kentevents.org.uk/kent-coast-vw-show-2nd-july-2016/ Some of the blurb from the "Kentevents" website:- Kent Events in association with the promoters of Grill-n-Chill bring you a new VW event in Kent. Kent Coast VW Show is based on traditional family values and we hope to bring you a relaxed, friendly and fun event. For the first year we will be holding a one day show taking place on Sunday 3rd July 2016 in the idyllic grounds of Quex Park in Birchington-on-Sea in Kent, with the Manor House and Waterloo Tower as fantastic backdrops, this event is sure to suit everyone, young and not so young who love VW Overnight camping is available from Saturday 2nd July
Having camped out at Quex a good few times I'm wondering just what this show is offering other than a day/overnighter in the rally field? Lots of fine adjectives but what is on offer.
I get the impression that as it's a one day event the camping is a little bit secondary for the first year. We all see the hype and failure of Volkswagger so I suppose they are a little reserved. Was camping any good at Quex Park?
Its flat and there are water points and Elsan disposal. The house/museum and restaurant are only 5 minutes or so walk away.
For what it's worth we will be going on Sunday, having an auto jumble stand to hopefully clear out some of my surplus stuff, need to bring the crew cab and the trailer (first time ever for trailer to go to a show) both are full and still finding stuff
