Just to say Hi as a new member

Hi everyone,

Just joined up having finally succumbed to mid-life camper crisis... Bought my first ever VW (not counting a Passat company car years ago) in September. "Kylie" is a 1973 Westfalia T2 Bay 1700 automatic in orange and white... best described as in need of some TLC having been off the road for 4 years... but she does have an MOT and has had all the structural welding underneath done.

Already enjoyed the joys of 40 year old motoring with an episode of oil incontinence, smoke filled cab, automatic not engaging, alternator belt / pulley coming loose, intermittent horn, washer water spurting out of centre of steering wheel... and I'm sure there will be many more joys awaiting me!

I live in Gloucestershire, in between Bristol and Gloucester and interested in meeting other VW enthusiasts, helping out with work on cars (although limited skills!), etc so please get in touch if you're local... or just get in touch to say Hi.
