They asked whether I was the owner of a Volkswagen camper and gave the registration, when I confirmed I was they asked whether I knew where it was..... It was at that point my heart stopped and I ran to the garage, opening the door revealed Marge, safe and sound (phew). We checked the registration again and confirmed that it was the vehicle she was asking about so it looks like Marge has been cloned. They said they will need to go and check out the van which has been reported for some reason and I am hoping they call me back to unravel the mystery. Hope some poor unsuspecting types haven't been had over, but glad it's not my Marge C
Blimey, not good, as you say i hope someone hasn't been done over....it's highly likely though, why else would they do it? it's hardly gonna be used for a jewelery blag as a getaway car.
And they formally announced themselves as police, officer number and everything? Bizarre how they'd have your number and would call to check rather than send local plod round. If they suspected your car had possibly been involved in a crime or that it was cloned would they ring you up? Don't owe any money do you, that's an old favourite trick of debt collectors to verify a cars whereabouts. Sleep well
Had a call back, case of mistaken identity from a passer by, looks like someone in Portsmouth has a serious petrol leak on their camper though anyone on here
jeez...you lot are a bundle of laughs...... some one has to keep stirring the pot , and have a laugh , go check now and make sure its still in the garage , just in case some one was making sure you and the van where in lol owen nw :moon:
Marge is definitely still there, I dragged my summer wheels for the Alfa from underneath her today and banged my funny bone. Also got the Ducati out and brought it back to life, fettled Mrs OP's vintage push pike and now chilling in the cabin listening to Jarvis Cockers 6music show, no sign of any villains, it is nice where I live
