Today is the first of the month, and as usual bills need paying etc. Customer is due in to pick up his newly refurbished Volvo 850 T5R, and to pick up another car he has agreed to buy. In all, he owes a considerable sum, so naturally I'm looking forward to his arrival...and a paid bill. No show.. A text to apologise, but no money. Can't get another customers car started, and can't find out what's wrong with it.... Dog ran off this morning, and came back after half an hour... Maybe if I go to bed early it will all be ok in the morning?
I am also waiting to get paid and cannot start another job unless I dip into my hedge fund ,the more I am late starting the new job the more carpe will hit the fan later...
I haven't been paid since June, despite invoices being on time. Been away from office over the last month. Am back on Wednesday and fully intend to give financial manager the good news across an open office. Can't wait.
Ha! that's nothing! As a one man band selling purely my time I was owed over £50K at one point and had debts to match most of it. fortunately for me Transco were unlikely to go bust.
Not dis similar to me, cept the amount and the fact that my employers are laying people off at the mo. For balance, it would be highly ungrateful of me not to acknowledge how utterly brilliant my employers have been this past month given I'm a contractor and all.
Just a combination of stuff really, Tax man was trying to fine me for not putting in my return on time this year when I did - so I put in an appeal and they backed down - got the letter this evening when I arrived home! I was looking at a fine of £850, now it's zero.... Customer from Friday paid - yay! Landlord for my workshop gave me a bit of good news! Won't go into details, but if will save me money... Sun was shining Bank renewed my overdraft Sold a BMW Busy day at the workshop with good takings So, a brilliant day.
