Each to their own, that's what I say. Funny though, I was thinking about Splits last night. I don't look at them and think 'old VW bus'. I just think 'old bus'. They never have and never will cut it with me. When I see them I feel absolutely nothing. Maybe that's just because I grew up in the 70s with plenty of Bays in my life.

As for a Bay with a converted Splitty front, the question in mind when looking at the photos was 'why?'.

 

Oh the poor and deprived life of a Split Latebay. Shunned by purists on both sides!

The yellow one shown on P1 looks really smart whilst this one I found suffers from a poor case of butchery!

My M8, Clarky had this one which he converted a good few years ago. Recently he's turned it back into a bay.
