I can actually believe everything she has predicted, (maybe apart from the aliens) but I'm open minded to that kind of thing.

I believe we as a human race will be the cause of the death of this planet. its entropy, start off with something pure and slowly, over a period of time chip away and it until it is ruined.

Either chemical and medicinal, a 'cure' that is unknown side affects, this is us meddling with nature...
Weapons and war, end up in nuclear war that wipes us and every other poor animal out on this earth, this is us meddling with the balance of life...
Technology, this is us thinking robots and technology is the be all and end all, relying on computers etc, but they will surpass us and enslave us as the weaker Eco system, this is us not being content with things and not thinking of the consequences.

film makers who's films depict the future end up fueling the world into creating those images and those ways of life so its full circle, From imagination comes films, from films comes an ideal to be like the films, equals films being correct, it sounds pathetic but I believe its true, now I don't mean Star wars etc but I mean films like 28 days later, iRobot, I am legend, World war Z, The day after tomorrow, its where we are headed.

We don't, have the ability to destroy the planet only the ecosystem that sustains life . However if we did would the universe change or would the universe care ?- no we are insignificant in the grand order of things - a grain of sand on the universal beach

 

totally agree, we are way more insignificant than we think.

Natural disasters like earthquakes etc would also happen whether we were here or not, we just happened to build things where they happen. but we are not alone in this universe!
