  1. We've been away in Suffolk for the weekend visiting some of the wife's friends in Bury St Edmunds, whilst out shopping on Saturday we called into the the Nutshell pub (Britain's smallest pub http://www.thenutshellpub.co.uk/)
After chatting to a local guy it turns out that he used to live in Stafford when he was growing up in the 60's and he only went to the Primary school next door to my house , it is as they say a small world

  2. about 10 years ago i was walking along a street in melbourne australia and i bumped into a guy i know....i was travelling for a year...he was on holiday for a couple of weeks..it just didnt seem amazing at all...i had no idea he was going there just pure chance...anyway we arrange to have a beer later in the day with my mate....
about 6 months later at home i was with my mate.....and we bumped into this guy again....just didnt seem amazing either...it was all matter of fact....
as it is such a small world now it doesnt seem odd....although it really is...it is!

  3. A few years ago I was at JFK airport coming back from New York and had a ticket for the Exec Lounge (those werre the days!) and the first person I saw in there was a mate from Uni that I had not seen for 20 years. We were booked on the same plane with seats next to each other.
