Isle of Wight Festival

Bruce Springsteen annouced as the Sunday night headliner.

I wasn't going to go this year but might have to see how this shapes up.

 

Great act to bag for the Sunday but i'm affraid i'm giving the IOW Festival a miss after my last visit

 

I saw the Boss play Glasto a few years back. He's also doing hard rock calling...

 

Was he good at Glastonbury?

 

Yeah - but after 2 hours I lost interest .... apart from Thunder Road

 

Can you take busses to this, is there a separate area

 

IOW is an ace place. Never been to the festival and really wanna go.

 

Into IOW Festival? Yeah there is a campervan area but it costs over £450 for the weekend to take a van.

 

£450 bloody hell !!!!!!! how come its so much everywhere else its usually like £45 tops.

I would love to do IOW but maybe without van then.

We usually do about 2 fests a year 8)

£450 is the total for us, 2 camping tickets plus 1 campervan permit then you have the ferry over too.

customer went last year in his bus ended up costing him a bag of sand for him,wife,2 kids campervan plot and relevant tickets ferry & festival.

 

IOW is a fab place to go whether you go with your bus or not. Never been to IOW Festival, done glasto a coupla times, V once and Cropredy (pewter tankard central) a coupla times too. Small fests for us now though, we'll never go back to the biggies. We did Wood and Greenman last year, a small and a medium sized fest respectively, both really ace. Not sure if Wood is on in 2012 tho cos the organisers who also do Truck, went bust I believe..
