.....but she doesnt know that its Brighton Breeze. I wont have the Van but will be noseying around the city/show, thing is she thinks we are going for a day out and a meal...... Should I tell her......i think it might be quite funny if I dont!?
Depends how much she's into VWs! So long as you do the meal as well, I reckon you'd be OK. Ask @Terrordales - he's expert at this sort of thing ...
Will she believe you if you pretend you didnt know? You could always book a hotel and come down fri evening as a sweetner and do the meal sat evening?
Tell her .... say I was looking into us going to Brighton for the weekend - which I still want to do - but also noticed the BB VW show is on. If we get time we could take a look at the vans before we have a meal ... --- You almost want to make her feel like it's HER idea to go along
Don't let on, & when you spot all the VW's trundling around say 'I wonder what all that's about love, mind if I go take a look' wait for the facial signals, if you get the disapproving frown move seamlessly but quickly onto stage two & whip £50 out of your wallet & say 'why don't you have a wander round the shops and get something nice to wear for our meal later & I'll see you in a couple of hours' job done, have a nice weekend & don't forget your camera we want to see plenty of pics
I like your style Robo.... Shes not mad into Vans - all those weekends skulking off to restore her (the Van not the missus) has brought that on, but we did go away in it for the first time two weeks ago and she loved it so I might be OK.
Tell her you have ta go ta brighton ta get a bit for your van or you wont be able ta go camping in it again, n your take her on the wheel on the seafront n buy her a hot dog , when you get their just say golly i didnt realise so many people came ta brighton in their buses ,we will have ta do that next year, thats got next year sorted too.
