Is my gas installation safe

  6. The cheek of it. I will have you know that I never leave open ended pipes. I carry a specific ball of blu-tac in the van for just such an occasion.

  8. It’s blu-tac. I must confess it does have the odd bit of tinsel in it from where I nicked it from a village hall job at Christmas. I left them the tinsel. I’m not an animal.

  9. That gas fire in the 1st photo is the same model as we had when we moved into our house - in 1975 - and sealing off a pipe with a poly bag and elastic band is class

  15. Cold feed into cylinder ,it's the bottom elbow by the cylinder
     
  16. I'm sitting on the chimney at the moment,there was a big blast everything went black and the rest is history
