Is it OK to block off the vents?

  1. I don't mean the ones at the front of the bus, I mean the ones just under the walk-through step bit on the floor. They are vents of some sort, aren't they? They seem pretty useless to me. I'm having some carpets made. I want to carpet right over the vents and block them off / smother them. Will that be OK?

  2. lucky you to have vents ,they are part of the :censored: heating sysytem

yep, it's not even there on some vans, no use to you anyway, your heat exchangers would have originally fed a bit of warm air to them but not now you're scoobied

  4. we managed to melt a cake Mrs M-B left in front of the vents in a cake tin

  5. id seal them completely first or it may get damp their, spect you was going to do that anyway. I sealed mine off and did same with vynal flooring.

Mine are blocked up as i don't have the pipe work to feed them.

Mind you if i had the pipework both the straight bit and the diverter bit i would get them working to put a bit of heat in the back

  7. As Ricky says, Fellows will have taken out any hot air ducting so they are redundant.
