Is it just me or has the bubble burst on sales of Vw's

eBay appears to be awash with tons of vw's and the price appears to be dropping fast.
Just looked today and people are appearing to accept more reasonable asking prices for their vans.
One today for example looks sweet newly listed on eBay £4000.
I've looked at split screens recently and they are even becoming less in price.

 

They always get cheaper in winter. Just wait until spring.

 

No, it's just you. Prices are just fine for rock solid vans. I've just sold 2 without any issues.

The price you see on eBay and the reality of the price when a deal has been done are entirely different.

 

^^^ what he said, i too have just sold 2 and both went very well, it always happens this time of the year, people jump on the band wagon at spring time when the sun tries to shine, they spend out shed loads of cash on a camper and then when it gets all dark and miserable outside they don't want thousands of pounds sitting on their driveway!! always a good time to pick up a bargain, especially around christmas

Surely it's seasonal, I reckon I have spent more than my vans worth but that doesn't really worry me, when we got her, it was a new venture which, after 3 years, has been a real buzz for us, wouldn't say I don't care what they go for but I am not too concerned, depends if you are buying to sell on and make a profit, I would never do that with a car!

 

What makes you think it's a scam?

 

Too good to be true, the wisest words ever , VW owners know what there vans are worth, and why a fixed low price not an auction.
