Interior mirror removal

I don't want to break it by using too much force so does anyone know how to remove the interior mirror please.

 

Twist

 

Mirror and stem from van that is.

 

Is it glued on then?

 

No it's sprung into an odd shaped hole, the springs are quite strong. Twist harder and you'll see.

 

It feels like your gonna break it but it'll twist out like Zed says

 

rotate it as above it will turn about 1/3 of a turn then pop out

 

And shout....

 

I tried to lever mine off once and failed.

 

Lift and separate.

 

That's rubbish of course Bob, but as it pops off all the doors should open at once.

 

OK thanks guys. I'll make sure the doors are locked before I go for it. If it breaks or the roof comes off I'm going to cry.

 

Make sure you have the hand brake ON

 

By the way I'd like to say how fantastically useful, helpful and quick this website is for getting good knowledgable information. You guys are better than google.

 

But not as good at stealing all your personal information...

 

I was thinking about the mirror today because it needs a good clean. When you say twist off, any particular way or does it go both ways
