Done a job on the van today that hasn't cost the earth!! Phoned cherished insurance up and got an agreed valuation policy with them for only £130 of my hard earned! Result. I thought it would of been at least double the price if not more! Shocked but in a good way!
re insured my bus yesterday and i saved a tenner on last year that doesnt happen very often down to £99 with agreed value
hopefully i'll get a decent deal with cherished then, i had my renewal through from peter james yesterday £212!! no thanks...... do any of the admin staff know if the voucher i won in last years awards comes off the price after they quote? or should i tell them upfront?
personally i'd get a quote, then afterwards say, "oh and by the way, i've got a voucher!" if not they're just going to put it on to take it off imo
rang cherished earlier as it's due 26th peter james wanted £212 for next year unlimited miles aa cover legal etc, cherished wanted £207 but only 3000 miles etc etc..... less £75 off is £132 so i'll take that... windscreen excess has gone up with both though £75 peter/£90 cherished.
When I called Cherished last year, one of the conditions on the "classic" policy was that you had to have a daily insured in your name as well, so it would only be a second car. Might be relevant if you chose to get rid of the girly Beetle?
they asked if i had access to another vehicle, even if i sold the beetle i'm still named on the wifes car so that's fine by me, they didn't ask if i would use it as a main vehicle just how many miles i wanted a year, also i asked to be covered for occasional work use so i've been honest.
Dont no but 3ooo millys goes quite quick when you use all year and more camping, ive got 7500 and it gets close.Thats using car too.
