Think I might give up. Starbucks down the road opens at 6am. Might have a coffee and cheese toasty for breakfast.
Before it was diagnosed, I had sleep apnea for years, and could never sleep for very long before it woke me up. It gave me plenty of practice at getting back to sleep. The main thing that I’m up against is thoughts that pop into my head - one minute I’m drifting off, the next I’m worrying about something that I can do nothing about lying in bed. At first I’d try and pretend not to speak any language, but my go to technique now is to try and mentally find neutral. I actually imagine the feeling of putting the van into neutral as it’s an exaggerated action that we all know and love. If I can think nothing for a bit the next voice I hear isn’t mine, because I’ve started dreaming…….
Another one here too. Not sure why but I’m waccaday. I’ve got a full on day tomorrow too and I finished my book about an hour ago I’ve got some paperwork I could do but thought it might stop me sleeping, I may make myself self a cup of (decaf) tea.
And another, even tho' I'm knacked. Might have a coffee. Alex, if you want something soothing to watch, "Watched Walker" on YouTube is excellent. Basically a bloke who walks round London at night with a camera. The dark, rainy ones are best. Right, coffee time...
ta, I will try that. I’m currently listening to a mozzie flying round the bedroom. I need to dig out my headphones so that I can listen to an audiobook or music without the risk of waking Sarah. Annoyingly I’m a bit hungry too
When Becky and I can’t sleep ,we find looking for rare things on you tube helps like Tottenham cup wins
I was watching a NASA vid where a guy was trying to describe how empty the universe is. "Try to imagine Tottenham's trophy cabinet, but extending for millions of light years..."
Might a suggest filling it with some scrambled eggs(3) made properly in a pan with some salsa or Encona sauce .One of my Sunday favourites
