Indicators

  1. I'm sure this must have been covered before, but can anyone help with some basic checks I can do to fix my indicators please?

On the way to Santa Pod, the relay dropped out - but I shoved it back in & it was fine. On the way home, the blinkers stopped working all together - no amount of wiggling or tapping the relay made any difference. Been & got a replacement today, and the only difference is that the dash light is now on permanently instead of when I just move the indicator stalk.

    Thanks in advance

  3. All fuses look ok - its a red one, is that right???
From LHS they are: 1-5 white, yellow, white, red, blue, then last 3 are white

  4. Maybe a loose connection on the relay where it plugs into the fuse box (one of the wires come off from the topside of the box)?

  5. Fuse box off, all wires still attached to relay connections

  7. Hmmmm....

    BLUE 25 AMP
    RED 16 AMP
    WHITE 8 AMP
    YELLOW 5AMP

    - on the Link supplied earlier it says all should be 8 amp, except 9 & 10 which should be 16amp??? Has someone just put whatever they had lying around in mine, or do you think the colours I said are right for mine?

  9. Just changed to all new fuses as per the instructions on the link - still no change :'(

  10. Silly question, what about hazards?

Snotty's right but harsh - any fuse is better than a piece of silver foil or a nail. ;)

  12. No, hazards not working either - does exactly the same as the indicators with the old relay in

faulty relay? when mine was full of water the symptoms were the same, your hazard switch could be faulty as well, the indicator wiring on these vans requires a degree in leccytronix......

I think you have pushed the wire out of the back of the relay holder try pushing the wires onto the relay from the back
If still no joy and the relay is not clicking check for 12v on the white wire pin 49 on the relay
