I'm an idiot and didn't check the oil

Drove from work and stopped at butcher and then carried on to home (only another mile) half way there was a new noise all of a sudden, a bit like a fan with something stuck in it

Checked when got home and fan is clear and no hoses off.

Did a video and it cleared and came back a couple of times. Seems to have cleared now, I am thinking it is a sticky starter motor?

Driving in the wet today so it could have got wet and caused it to be sticky?

was it a sliver of pulled pork caught in the air vent?

It'll probably do no ham.

 

Why not meat up with a mechanic to fix it?

Be patient, there are an offal lot of possible causes.

 

Fan bearing? probably nothing to get in a stew about. Its great here.

is it your VW or other daily driver .....where did it sound as though the noise was coming from?

did it make the noise when stationary, when moving or both?

did the sound increase with engine revs?

 

Is that raw data? An iBone 6S is normally pretty quick.

 

come on you lot, stop with the ribbing, there could be a lot at steak here

 

it's quite a gammon problem.....

 

certainly sounds as if something could be burgered up
