  1. ok i am going to replace my ignition system plugs, points, coil, dizzy rotor and leads
is there a relay on these? its a t2 77 with 2 litre veggie engine
and any tips on which parts are best for a very long run
i got some quad sparks allready and was thinking of a flame thrower coil any feedback will be very helpful esp on the relay cause i got no idea if i got one or where it would be hiding :-*

  2. Beru or Bosch leads. Bosch cap and points. Standard silver Brazilian coil. Normal Bosch or NGK plugs.

Skip the Flamthrower coil - they don't have a great rep for reliability. You don't need anything fancy.

Accuspark SVDA distributor. I talked Mike4 into getting one after Majorhangover talked me into getting one. I'm sold. They REALLY do make a difference.

Also as Snotty has said, use quality parts. Avoid cheap unnamed part.

  4. cheers dudes i got some 10mm leads from my local motorsave there blue lol and ill order the dizzy and rotor points n condenser u mentioned and just leave my bosch coil as it is

  5. If there's nothing wrong with your current dissy, why change it?

Others may be dissy-shaped, silver-coloured and fit, but they're not guarenteed to have the correct advance curve for your engine.

I disagree. I wasn't convinced about pointless ignition as I liked my little bits but the difference it's made is huge not only to my bus but others who have fitted one so I'm quite sure it's got the correct curve for my bus. And as the original poster was also asking about aftermarket parts like a flame thrower I thought I'd add about the Accuspark.

  7. There is no difference if your points are adjusted right and everything is in A1 condition , with the acuspark you just never need to adjust it . I couldn`t tell the difference with either the acuspark or pertronixs againts decent points .
I know this is a ongoing argument and everyones experiences are different
