ignition barrel

Hi all
Just a quick one how do you get the ignition barrel out ive taken the little screw out with no joy so is there something else i have to do for it to come out .

i have managed to find a useful site that shows you how to remove and replace the barrel

 

It's also in your haynes manual.

 

you need a special curved back on itself wire hooky thing and a mirror ;D

 

i remember vwfish told me about doing one,and i think he said it was a bitch job to do ,good luck bro ..i got a old tech step by step if my scanner works ,i could send you copy via email ....on a different note ,found this great book at father in laws as he was a dubnut from the 70,s 80,,s ....got sum some lovely bits in if anymore one copies of anything ...better than haynes and quite techy for a early 70,s book
