End of an era for me and EG jokes - mother in law died last month so the family is now going through the probate process of settling up the house there.

Aside from the usual mother in law lines (mostly true) she was a good old girl who I actually now miss. Good innings though, reached 91 and was still fully independent right up to lockdown. We are down there on Thursday to do a bit of sorting out - she seems to have bought a pair of secateurs and a garden fork every week since 1970.....and a freezer full of stewed apples !

 

First time I went there for the dreaded 'meet the parents' lunch, out came the stewed apples. Never had them before so didn't realise how sharp they are, my face would have won gurning medal.

She's also got a mature grape vine growing into and through the old wooden conservatory, must be 30 bunches of red grapes ready now, but the family don't eat them because they have seeds in them.

 

Please don't tell me your having a meet with Bazza at the Jubilee Community Church

 

I think the meeting was at The Boys Brigade hall.
