i hate my job - a recent thing ?.

Career change?

 

I'm so bored of mine too (9years)
However I would be screwed without it.
Just think your lucky to have one.
Going to a leaving do tonight (redundancy) and theres a joint redundeancy one next week

 

Yes, at least it is a job. Some people have been unemployed for ages

 

You are one year late with the 7 year itch, I am informed by recruiters that it is a common feeling to look for an alternative job after or around the 7 year period.......I hate my job also mate, and I work from home !

 

I'd swap with you any day Malc.

The thought of being out on the road all day away from the office politics and crazy 180 degree turns in various strategies is very appealing. I could do with a nice dollop of tedium right now, been here 12 years with a major change every 3.

 

well im going to be unemployed soon and its all my choice, i wasnt in the bracket for redundancy so i put my notice in, i will be officially unemployed in september i have done 14 years in the same job deffo time for a change

 

I would like a career change .... my plan is to implement one over the next 3 years - no idea what it will be yet

 

Planning application for the brewery is going in this week.

I will be looking for regional sales/distribution agents.

 

I've started a little electrical business. Having paid out thousands for all the various papers, testers, tools, advertising etc. To be honest it's not that creative work. Maybe I could get into king mad Tesla installations instead )

If you hate your job Malc you should consider doing something you think you will enjoy, life's to short to live to work and not enjoy it. This grateful to have a job culture we live in these days, all the government want is your tax etc, they don't care if you have a life or enjoy what your doing. I decided one day after seeing things happen to people, friends, family/work alcoholics that wasn't very nice, life is not all about work, i had my own business for over 25years and all i did was chase and cover arse for people who didn't know what they were doing, i thought I'm not enjoying this, do i need this , the answer was no. So i did a few sums and said right that's me I'm outa here. I'm not doing exactly what i want at mo because of my injuries and pending op but when i do, i most certainly am gona enjoy what i do. Some may be thinking lucky old you to be able to do that, i worked hard, and had all the frills but didn't have the time to enjoy them , so now i do it the otherway round and i know which i prefer. Life's a bitch then you die, alot say, i say enjoy life and do the best you can while you can.!! Have i just ranted lol well your too nice a bloke ta be hating ya job. Enjoy ya yorkies anyway lol. ) )

 

Yep we haven't brewed a drop yet but as far as I am concerned it's my route out of the usual 9-5.
