I have had my selling abilities restricted. Apparently there is some conflicting information with another user and so for 3 months I can only list a maximum of 15 items per month. I do list fairly regularly and use it to try and top up a bit of income and without warning they have pulled the rug from under me. What is most annoying is I have been a member for 10 years, they wont lift this restriction until I complete some more verification (this will take a week) and then it is not guaranteed. Will someone with some computer skills please set up "FREEBAY" where there are no ridiculous sellers fees, and perhaps something approaching customer services. 5 emails and 3 calls later still getting nowhere........ :'(
I used to sell dvds ,I made sure I had several user ids... One for buying bulk dvds One for selling dvds [so buyers did not know how much I paid] One private id for buying sex toys etc... ;D
Yep it's great until you have an issue that requires sorting then I believe it's being run by one nerd in a bedroom on a laptop. They think they're introducing clever rules to restrict traders but mostly just annoying genuine users!
Today Ebay came up trumps for me they resoved a case i have with a seller who sold me an item that was not as described .they sent me a return postage label and are refunding my purchase price ,
^^^ Its most definitely on the side of the buyer now - feedback is indeed a one way street and any complaint will always go in the buyers favour. The trouble is as a buyer you can exercise your right to choice, ie ebay, amazon, JK, the high street(!) wherever... as a seller you have to use their monopoly!
