but you said that upgrading the forum to a modern layout would not only allow it to compete with facebook and give it a modern feel, but that it would be a significant investment not only financially but for the future of the forum as a social networking tool.

....yea I know

I'm sure you'll like it, they spent quite a bit of time getting it right....Mr HorTs has been working very hard on this......just give it a go

I like it really....will take a bit of getting used to, like breaking in a new pair of shoes

 

My 1st thought last night was i don't like it, i don't like change really, i like forums to be simple this has a lot more functions - however messing with my personal settings i can see i can turn off a lot of crap i don't want and that is good, i'm hoping we get an option to remove the farcebook/*****ter link on the side though and i'm leaving a lot of the stuff until the site has been tweaked as there are still some missing things such as edit post and also the adverts aren't on yet.

 

I like it...much easier on the eye, and it seems easier to navigate on my phone. top job!

 

You can still edit posts using tapatalk the modify button is still there although I haven't used it yet.

 

seems ok for me so far, think its going to take some getting used too but all in all horts has done a grand job!

Totally love it. Well done Horts. Its fun finding all these new things you can do. I expecially like the "follow" and "like" features.

 

I liked the old one more, this is all to bright and crisp, however i'm sure i'll get used to it. After all, i got used to Windows after Gem Desktop

I think it's great, well done Horts, brings it nicely up to date. With added bonus that the 'ignore' option now works properly! Posts, complete threads, the lot disappear completely now, marvellous!
