Ford capri's , in fact i hate em , i hated all mks of ford capri and all colours and interiors , i would'nt have a ford capri if you filled it with totty and gave me a bag full of viagra . This hatred Doctor goes back to my teens , one of my first company cars was a black mk1 v6 3 litre ford juice guzzling bag of horse droppings , if you think our vans are unreliable i can only tell ya capri's were a lot worse , crud on wheels they did get better but not much and the last one i used i actually left on the side of the road and phoned he boss from th train station to tell him where it was !. Do you hate any particular car n if so why ?.
I dislike most modern cars .....until they get to a certain age and you dont see many of that type on the road....then I start kind of liking them I saw an austin allegro the other day - hated them when they were new, I remember my Gran having one ......but seeing one recently I started to think how quaint and sweet they are .......then Mrs Diddymen gave me a reality slap and I came to my senses ;D I have to say I'm starting to grow fonder of capris ;D .....I hated them when all my mates had them .....I went and got an Opel Manta ;D loved that car (all 3 of them : )
I love Capri's since watching my first crush Bodie screech around in The Professionals. I'll have to think what classic car I really hate. I'll get back to you on this.
Got it. After much thought and the usual rubbish like Ford Ka's and Nissan Micra's the classic Citroen Ami 8 turned out to be a let down for me. Heavier than the 2CV and Dyane and an awkward driving position it never felt right to drive. They were also horrendously slow because of that heavy body. And if l can be bold and have another, the Renault 17 wasn't quite what l expected with its rough engine and truck like steering but I'd still have one because they look gorgeous.
I had 2 back in my distant youth, the first one the engine blew up the second one fell, apart over rated heaps of junk
I hate ford fiestas. With a passion. My first two cars were Fiestas. First one hit a ditch at 80mph. Second one's head gasket blew up 200 miles from home on the M1 when I'd fibbed to my dad that I was 5 miles away at a friend's house : Nowt but trouble those pesky fiestas!
I love the Capri, we had one when I was a kid...doleful memories of the tappety engine sound, wondering when it was gonna break in half when we went on hols...three kids, two adults, luggage, windsurfer and a sailing dingy on the towbar, cramped wasn't the word, grinding the floor pan out on bumpy country roads, hours of watching me dad apply more filler until it was mainly..filler, good memories, guess that's why I love my bus. Dislike most modern cars as they remind me of shoes...shouldn't drive in a shoe, drive the box instead. ;D
It's hard to hate cars because I'm too much of a petrolhead. However, I've thought long and hard about this...... If it's modern cars, I hate any of these cheap shoddy crapboxes that come from East Asia, particularly those that originate from countries where they eat dogs. In particular, the DAEWOO MATIZ (yes I know it's now called a Chevrolet) I've driven 2 in my life and I didn't feel safe or comfortable in either of them. They're crap, they're throwaway disposable cars that'll be worth 50p in about 5 years time. However, old cars.... hmmm.... not sure about this but I do remember something when I was growing up called an FSO Polonez Prima - there was nothing prima about it at all. Thank God my dad never got one.......... They looked like they would dissolve in a particularly heavy rainstorm. EDIT: on fact, I think I'd prefer the P4 in the background.
