The rules are no swearing in an aggressively way or not. People are always trying to find ways of avoiding the filter. Lets be honest you did You got told and as what was promised by the mods K would be reduced.

The problem is as mods they are damned if they do and damned if they don't. It's one of the reasons why l decided to not be a mod anymore.

 

Was it partly the fact the email was a standard jobby that annoyed you?

I do agree with your point that the context is all important, and I agree yours was not spiteful hurtful swearing and merely an expression of your reaction to the film. No problem for me, but do you really expect the mods to read every post and study it's context, then make a considered descision? Time consuming and unfair. This site has no money and if it accidentally makes any it goes to charity.

You know I occaisionally swear in real life. Hopefully in the same vain. But it hasn't gone unnoticed that you as an actual real life human, don't. Change your name to Paradox2?

Some people on here have children reading the site with the parents, or even on their own. How would you like your 10 year old reading swear words and/or having to explain it to your child?

I like a good swear but that comment brought it into context for me, and as such have tried to not swear.

Ultimately thems the rules, you can always use VZI to swear and complain, they all seem to be kicking off at the moment anyway.

 

I swear quite a lot in my day-to-day life.
My mum is always telling me off.
And as for Bridgett she clips me round the head.

i got done the same, got the warning and moaned (privately) at the end of the day thems the rules, i've said before and i'll say again, consistency is the key, some people get away with it some don't but hey ho, who'd be a mod? thankless job. anyway tues just chill, as ronan keating once said....... life is a rollercoaster or summat like that......it's only words.
