Some people complain about Weber progressive carbs. If they are not set up right you can have a whole lot of problems. If they are set correctly they run beautifully. I have one on my '77 2.0L CJ and it goes like stink, even up hills. I had a problem recently though. After having the engine out over the winter all was well but then I started having starting problems. In fact I thought I needed a new battery. What i had done, however was (Doh!) failed to tighten up the clamp on the choke thermosat. Once it was reset, back to normal. While I was looking for inspiration on the interweb I came across this really useful video from Hambone, who has done some good ones on engine stuff before. If you want some good advice about Weber 32/36 carbs you should watch this. Let's see if I can get this video to work <iframe width="480" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/q8G-I0Hqk7Q?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
