How many different wheel nut seats are there?

Is there an endless number of seats where the wheel nut fits the wheel or are there just a few?
I have a set of 15" Ronals and bought the chrome alloy wheel nuts, after a bit of investigation with some chalk it seemed the original nuts seated better, now i have changed my mind and have some chrome 14" wheels and it looks like neither set sit well:(
Is there any way of narrowing down the shape i need without knowing the make of the wheel?
And typically i will also need shorter (original) studs or some spacers and another 10 nuts, so guess what i have given away over the last few months? all of the above:oops: bugger!

I thing there are just 2, the radiused and the conical. Probably the wrong terms...

  3. Both the nut for steels and the ones for alloys barely touch the seat?

  5. There are a few different radius ones , my Audi and Porsche wheels are both radius but one is larger than the other
