Bernard's top tips - dump the cupboard behind the passenger seat & it's fold down buddy seat and fit a revolving seat instead.
And think long & hard about a sink, with the tap and the water tank it takes up a huge amount of space for a poxy little sink that you can barely get a plate into.
A washing up bowl is cheaper, better and has the flexibility to be used outdoors.

 

agree, i think the fitting of a sink is due to it "legally" being a camper on the v5 it has to have washing facilities. We all know that the sink is only good for a midnight slash if it's raining outside and the wide neck lucozade bottle is full.

 

We use ours as a fruit bowl which is great unless you forget there's fruit in there when you unpack the van

 

in the bay we used to put the kettle in it, i never washed up in it ever!

 

We actually use ours a lot for its intended purpose. Preparing veg, washing & washing up. It's only on the last day of a trip where we use it to store all the dirty dishes we make that day.

About the only thing we don't use it for is as a toilet.

Having read many of the "We use our sink as a toilet" confessions on here I'm going to be a LOT choosier who I accept cups of tea off of in future.

 

just make sure you don't have a sausage sarnie off congi.....

I never wanted a sink before but I use mine for it's intended purpose all the time, I'm pleased to have it.

 

It kinda goes against the grain to pay someone loads, when you can do it yourself

 

I've just told my wife how big yours is and she gave me a little cuddle and said I wasn't to worry, size isn't everything, she said. Then she cheered me up a bit by telling me that you might be exaggerating

Mine's 43" and could have been 46" but I left a gap hoping the table would stash in there which it does. Slim rear cupboards, very deep ones at the front.

 

I'll take a picture with a tape measure if you want!!

 

We stumbled across a specialist off licence/importer one day while in Kent. We promptly spent about £200 on some very weird and wonderful Rums. All gone now, as are the bottles, and I'd be hard pushed to remember any of the names.
