French Toast (many know this as Eggy Bread but its always been French Toast to me), or just a couple of soft, just turning hard ones, mashed up in a bowl with black pepper than more butter than is good for me.
I've just bought this as our toaster was on its last legs and it's awesome 8) http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0013KEDKY/ref=s9_simh_gw_p79_d1_g79_i1?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=0JRSSXJJC6AMT1SRWJ1M&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=467128533&pf_rd_i=468294 Got it for £29.99 at Argos and last night we had poached eggs on toast which were cooked to perfection! This is now my new favourite gadget :mwave:
What is an eggy crumpt - just a crumpet with an egg on it? And what do you mean by crumpet - I assume you mean crumpet and not muffin or other such northern nonsense.
A crumpet as in round and full of air holes Crack egg and mix the yolk in with the white in a bowl Place crumpet hole side down into eggy mix and press and release so it soaks up eggy mix Place crumpet under grill holes facing up
can we have the straight out of it's rear end option ? we have our own and it's nice to go out in the garden and pick up a warm fresh egg
In the bus/ out in the field the egg has to be fried, soft yolk, white bread with English mustard. Regular at home scrambled with a good dash of Tabasco and wholemeal toast with plenty of butter. Special days at home, soft poached with poached haddock.
Love american style 'messy eggs' . Like omelettes but not so mixed so you get bits of yolk. Not overcooked or it goes dry. tortilla wrapped, salt black pepper, touch of smoked chipolte chilli. excelent!
Julie likes coddled eggs, small dish with butter rubbed inside, crack the egg into the dish, blob of cream on top, salt and pepper, in the oven for @ 6 mins, I think yeuch but she loves it with toasty soldiers
Soft boiled eggs, toast with nice butter (not some horrible healthy low fat spead stuff) and marmite.
I really like a runny boiled egg (no spuff) with soldiers, or an egg banjo, but I have recently decided to stop eating bread and cut down on most other wheat products so I'm now eating a lot of omelettes for brekkie and between me and the wife, we are getting through about a dozen eggs a week! God I love eggs! I feel like Mr Strong!
